For me, a trip to Bali includes equal parts party and relaxation, making it one of my favourite holiday destinations. There are countless night clubs, beach clubs, bars and restaurants but which are actually worth going to?
On the Juice
On the Juice, is the Ideal spot for a sunset drink. It is located at the intersection of Jl Padma/Jl Pantai Legian, in an empty car park at Legian Beach.
Whether you’re after a nightcap to unwind after the big day you’ve just had, OR a place for a few casual cocktails to get you started before a night out, On the Juice is the perfect spot!
Every night between 5-6pm you can get 2 for 1 on all their delicious cocktails and on Friday nights they cook up a FREE traditional Balinese barbecue for all their customers.
Alternative Beach Club
Alternative Beach Club is such a relaxed swim up bar, with heaps of day beds and a big slide! You’ll find Alternative Beach Club down an alley way in Canggu. I feel it’s not as busy as the other beach clubs in the area, making it a good place for a few relaxed drinks poolside.
Mrs Sippy is a Mediterranean inspired bar with a huuuge swimming area, lots of day beds and sitting areas as well as awesome food! I would recommend getting there early and securing your spot for the day. Then spend the entire day, sipping on cocktails poolside.
My all time favourite drink from Mrs Sippy is the Froze’- frozen rose’ wine, It was ridiculously good. I also got the vegetarian nachos for lunch, which were up there with the best I’ve ever had.
The backpackers hang out! Alley cats is a small bar, down Poppies II lane in Kuta. Alley Cats is your go to if you’re after a cheap drink and some fun drinking games. The owner generally hangs out with the crowd too! But be aware of what you’re drinking because Alley Cats do serve local Spirits (Arak) as well as more renowned brands such as Smirnoff.
Mono Chunky Chunks
Mono Chunky Chunks is right in the heart of Kuta. They serve fish bowl cocktails perfect for sharing and great food, all in a lively, fun environment.
