Bamboo Toothbrushes

Over 1 billion plastic toothbrushes end up in land fill each year!! However there is an easy, eco friendly alternative…Bamboo toothbrushes!! Bamboo is a natural plant therefore making it biodegradable, bamboo toothbrushes don’t cost the earth and they donโ€™t cost us very much at all.

Shampoo Bar

Shampoo bars use natural ingredients and oils, which are better for your hair AND the environment, shampoo bars are also very small and compact, making them perfect for travelling. 1 shampoo bar does the job of around 3 bottles of shampoo!! So save the earth and your bank account by making the switch to Shampoo Bars

Deodorant is an everyday essential for the majority of us and as long as it does the job what else matters?
We tend to forget the harm that most deodorants can be to ourselves and the environment.

Some deodorants are non recyclable, cause air pollution and are a threat to our waterways.

If there is an alternative, why aren’t we using it?

Soap Bar

It’s hard to resist a good smelly soap but is it worth the nasties included and all the plastic packaging that comes with it.

Check out these local handmade soaps that literally include only 4 ingredients

Face Wash

Lush cosmetics also have AMAZINGGG eco friendly facial cleansers and scrubs. My all time favourite cleanser is their Angels on bare skin! It includes almonds that gently exfoliate the skin, rose, chamomile and lavender to help calm the skin and kaolin which absorbs oils, leaving the skin feeling soft.

Make your own face cleansing oil using all natural ingredients.

This 2 ingredient recipe is super simple to make and works wonders on the skin.

Simply combine 1/2 a cup of grape seed oil with 14 drops of tea tree oil.

  1. What wonderful informative ideas / products that are available to us all…
    Love learning something new ๐Ÿ’œ

  2. It’s amazing what you find in your house that isn’t great for the environment. I did a little investigation into products I use pretty regularly and was horrified so I started switching a lot of things out too. This is a great post about eco-friendly bathroom products though, I’ve changed my toothbrush, face cloths and soaps but the next on my list is deodorant.

  3. Love this blog! Lush is fab for eco-friendly products and Iโ€™ve been meaning to get a bamboo toothbrush for a while. Thanks for sharing!
